Wow, what a great start to 2012!

In the span of four weeks we have had Duke Roufus and Big John McCarthy teaching at CFC Gym. What an unbelieveable experience for all students that attended!

The CFC Gym has also installed a brand new, custom built, 77 foot long cage wall. What a beautiful piece of training equipment to improve our grappling and MMA programs!

We have more equipment and guest instructors coming soon to Winnipeg’s #1 Martial Arts Training Center so stay tuned!

More big news from the CFC Gym!

We are very happy to announce that BJJ black belt, MMA Pioneer, and legendary referee Big John McCarthy will be teaching at CFC Gym on Wednesday February 8, 2012.

This No Gi and MMA seminar will run from 6-8 pm and will include a question and answer session. All past and present CFC Gym grappling and kickboxing students are welcome at NO COST!

This is just another privilege of training at Winnipeg’s #1 Martial Arts Training Center – CFC Gym!

I am very excited to tell everyone about what is happening at CFC Gym with our new Grappling instructors and programs. This is our incentive program to kick things off!

Incentive Program for Grappling

BJJ (Gi and NoGi), Wrestling, and Judo

If you currently train Grappling at CFC Gym:

Purple Belts and Brown Belts – you will receive a 6 month complimentary grappling membership.

White Belts and Blue Belts- you will receive a 3 month complimentary grappling membership.

If you currently train Kickboxing at CFC Gym:

We want you to become a complete Martial Artist – you will receive a 3 month complimentary grappling membership.

During this transition:

Any current BJJ student that just needs a temporary place to roll, will be allowed to continue using the mat space,with no obligations or contracts needed until your new facility is up and running.

Fees and Prices:

The price for Grappling memberships will be $85.00 per month, which includes: BJJ – (Gi and NoGi), Wrestling, and Judo.

The price for Kickboxing memberships will remain at $95.00 per month.

The price for MMA memberships (Grappling & Kickboxing) will be $125.00 per month.

You can combine or mix and match any and all classes offered at CFC Gym.

The Grappling Program:

The Grappling program Coaching Staff will be:

BJJ Black Belts Joe Doerksen and Tino Guzzardi.

BJJ Brown Belts Jerin Valel (with Curt McKinnon substituting as required).

 Judo Black Belt Airton Nakamura will be in charge of his Judo program.

The Grappling program will run independently and will be built upon a TEAM Environment.

Hello everyone,

I have some very exciting news! My long time coach and friend Duke Roufus, a four time World kickboxing champion, will be teaching at the CFC Gym on January 10th to the 12th.

Duke is one of the most sought after trainers in the UFC and is considered by many in the martial arts industry as one of the top trainers in the world.

Duke has been instrumental in building the curriculum at the CKMTC/CFC Gym since 2002 and he has taught at our gym countless times over the years.

Duke has spent years creating a belt system to help students set goals and see progress in their training. We are proud to incorporate Duke’s belt system into our kickboxing program at CFC Gym. All students will now have dry-fit belt shirts as part of their uniforms.

Duke and I will be assessing all CFC Gym kickboxing students and placing them into their respective belts while he is in Winnipeg. There will be no charge for the belt assessment and training with Duke.
Since the CFC Gym is the Canadian affiliate school of Roufusport, CFC Gym students will have the oppurtunity to train with Duke Roufus multiple times throughout the year at no cost. This is yet another great privilege of training at the CFC Gym!
