Hello everyone,

It’s been some time since the last blog and quite a lot has been happening at the Canadian Fighting Center, so I thought a summer update was in order.

New Mats = Safer and More Diverse Training!
At the Canadian Fighting Center, we are always extremely concerned with the welfare of our students.  In order to further improve the level of safety for all levels of students, we ordered custom built wall mats a while ago.  I am happy to report that these mats have finally arrived!

These specially made mats have padding that is 2″ thick and they have been custom fit to cover every wall inside our 5000 sq foot  training area.  In addition to the increased safety for all students, we have also increased the variety of training drills we can perform due to the additional 200 linear feet of wall mats to our cage wall.

With this upgrade to the school and the highly qualified instructors running classes,  there is no doubt that the CFC Training Center is the #1 MMA gym in Winnipeg and one of the top gyms in Canada!

On July 28, the CFC gym will be sending a team of fighters to The Pas to compete on Elite Fighting Championship: Rez Warz.  Representing the CFC Training Center will be Agostino DeNatale, Mark Durant, David Quangvan, Vince Blixt, Jon Henderson,Vyron Phillips, and Travis Gervais.

As well as The Pas show, there are a couple other events that may be scheduled for Winnipeg in the near future.  I will have more news on some big fight event’s scheduled for this fall coming soon – so stay tuned!
